Legal
Terms of Service
Effective July 21, 2026
The short version
fhew helps your crew take turns hosting. Be kind, host when you’re free, and settle up with each other like adults — the app keeps score, but the money and the meetups are yours.
Agreement
These terms are between you and [Company Name] ("fhew", "we", "us"). By using fhew, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
The service
fhew lets small groups of friends run a repeating loop: the app draws an activity, whoever’s free claims it and hosts it, and the group confirms it happened. A shared ledger — the "pot" — tracks each member’s share so hosting stays fair over time.
The pot is a ledger, not a bank
fhew records who owes whom. No real money moves through the app, and fhew is not a payment service, bank, or money transmitter. Any settling up happens directly between you and your friends (Venmo, cash, however you like) and is entirely your responsibility. We don’t hold funds, process payments, or guarantee that anyone pays.
Your account
You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code. You must be at least 18, give us accurate info, and keep your account to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
Claims and hosting
Claims are final — the app’s record of who claimed is the record. If you claim a week, you’re committing to plan and host the activity for your group. What happens at the meetup is between you and your friends: fhew doesn’t organize, supervise, or take responsibility for activities, venues, or anyone’s behavior, and we’re not liable for injuries, damages, or disagreements that arise from them. Use good judgment and look out for each other.
Invites
When you invite someone, you’re telling us they’d want to hear from you. Don’t use invites to spam strangers. Groups cap at four members.
Acceptable use
Don’t break the app, scrape it, harass other users, game the claim with bots or scripts, or use fhew for anything unlawful. We can suspend or remove accounts that do.
Our stuff
fhew, the wordmark, and the app’s design and illustrations belong to us. Your content — plans, notes, group names — belongs to you; you just give us the permission we need to show it to your group.
Termination
You can stop using fhew anytime and ask us to delete your account (privacy@fhew.app). We can suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.
Disclaimers
fhew is provided "as is" and "as available". We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the draw will always pick your favorite activity.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, fhew and [Company Name] are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — or for anything that happens at, or because of, your group’s activities or settlements. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $50.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [State], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these terms as fhew grows. We’ll update the effective date above and give notice in the app for significant changes.
